The Opportunity
Are you ready to dive into an exciting and dynamic role within the healthcare industry? Reporting to the Financial Controller, we are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Accounts Payable Coordinator to work in our busy accounts team and assist with cashflow reporting and owing the Accounts Payable function of the business. The ideal candidate should have solid written and verbal communication skills. We are looking for a numbers-savvy and analytical individual to work alongside our motivated Managing Director This role provides an excellent opportunity for to the candidate to grow their career in accounting, offering exposure to a wide variety of tasks and the chance to expand your skillset in other key areas of the Accounts function.
The Role
As the Accounts Payable Coordinator you will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
- Prepare daily cashflow reports and assist in the preparation of budgets and cashflow forecasts, as required.
- Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations and assuring information is accurate and correct, including investigating any problems and finding solutions where variances occur.
- Prepare and manage supplier payment runs.
- Create, post and review transactions and general ledger entries (as required).
- Verify and process a high volume of supplier invoices using Xero related apps.
- Match and reconcile supplier monthly statements.
- Process and pay employee expense claims in accordance with company policy.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, as required.
About You
You will have experience working in a similar ‘hands-on’ role. Additionally, you will also be required to demonstrate the following:
- High attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Accounting software experience with Xero will be highly regarded (but not essential).
